General comments: We were advised by Angling Lines to be at the venue for 9.30 am. We travelled overnight. Once arriving at the venue we were then made to sit in the car park for a further 2 hours. We weren't allowed to chose pegs, just shown where to fish. Being the only english fisherman, i was put in a very shallow part of the lake out of the way. We felt that being english we weren't treated fairly. ****** NOTE FROM ANGLING LINES ***** We agree this was totally out of order & we have told the lake owner so. He has agreed that from 2009 all pegs will be pre-booked so this will never happen again. Anglers will be asked to choose a peg when they make their booking. *************

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fished towards the sunken bridge using a bait boat to place my lines

General comments: I fished from peg 2 the one with the sunken bridge. During the week I beat my PB of 40lb 7oz four times. I also had a grass carp of 26lb and helped my neighbour land a 61lb catfish….I had a fantastic stay at Ribière and more importantly my partner wants to return. If you want a relaxing venue, where you are sure to catch some beautiful fish and your family enjoy the comfortable facilities then Ribière is an ideal place. Thank you to Jerome and Michel and to my neighbour Laurent who helped me and envied me all week long.

Brief details of your catches: Son caught a 49.0, other son caught a 46.0, Had sturgeon and other catches. The fish seemed to move around the lake, so fishing was hard.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Tried a wide range of baits between us. None seemed to be a clear favourite.

Were the facilities what you expected? Better, accomodation nice. Big kitchen

General comments: The people were good, the venue is great, would like to go back

General comments: All fish were caught on a home made mix, no need for heavy baiting, here you need to fish spots. There are lots of carp that are good looking fish… We had 27 runs for 22 fish in six days totalling 360 kg. We’d like to thank Mr & Mrs Bonneau and once again Jerome… I’d like to add that this venue is extremely calm & peaceful, lets keep it that way so we all have a good chance!

General comments: The venue is nice, as are the people. We didn't have the best swims, they had gone to someone else.
