General comments: HI BRIGDET CAUHGT THIS MONSTER AT LAROUSSI ON 15th NOVEMBER IN SWIM LA PLAGE . I WAS FISHING 65 YARDS TO MY RIGHT INTO OPEN WATER. AT ABOUT 1 AM SUNDAY MORNING HAD A SLOW TAKE AND 40 MINS LATER THIS MONSTER CAME INTO MY NET . I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE SIZE OF THIS CARP I WAS SPEACHLESS .. I WANTED TO BEAT MY PERSONAL BEST OF 45LB AND I DID BY 30LB WOW PINCH ME I KEPT SAYING TO MY SELF ...I WAS USEING 18MM DT BOILIE WITH ABOUT 15 FREE BEES AROUND IT A BIT OF PARTIBLEND AND SOME MICRO PELLET ..USEING A SIZE 4 KORDA KURV BARBLESS HOOK ON A 8 INCH HOOK LENTGH OF 25LB KRYSTON MANTIS GOLD ON A BOLT RIG GRAVEL COLOUR TUBBING 3OZ DITANCE LEAD AND BACK LEADED IT WAS A VERY STONG FISH IN PERFECT CONDITION ............PINCH ME Great place to visit , 2nd time, will come back again.

Brief details of your catches: I had the anse swim.I had 15 carp to 49lb and I lost 10 carp because of the barbless hooks. I had sturgeon up to 80lb a 42lb grassy out and cats to 72lb. we had well over 30 fish out in the week but found the big fish were in middle rolling and we did best with a bait boat. We even had a crucian of about 5lb!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: used baitboat and caught on sweetcorn over hemp.

General comments: I would highly recommend it. I also lost 3 catfish. really loved this venue I have been to 15 venues in France some of them very nice but this is the first I'd go back to :-)

General comments: unfortunately we had a bad week with 95% of the carp showing along the far bank that hasn't a single peg on it and only possible to fish from 2 points (la point/l anse)It wasn,t a cheap trip with the state of the euro/pound so was a bit disapointing to sit there all week with the fish totally out of range .There were 3 other anglers with 3 carp 1 sturgen beteen them i think. Mendi seem very nice but not very forthcoming with information on lake perhaps we were unfortunate with the fish being more spead out at other times of the year to end positively the sturgen i caught was as hard fighting as any fish as i,ve caught (Bridget feel free just to use this for your own use if you want hope its of some use)cheers wally

Were you happy with them? Yes, ok. We were the only two on the lake for the week. If there were 7 people angling I think the facilities, i.e. the toiliet & shower might be a problem.

General comments: Awesome fishing! Find a spot and fish as tight/accurate to the spot as possible. We had 3 new lake records; common at 48lb 4oz , catfish at 115lb and the highest average weight (21 mirrors averaging 41lb 8oz) Rest the swim daily even only for a couple of hours. Fish lines well apart and wait for runs to " develop", don't strike at every beep.
